The Finance Department and e-Government of Fujairah signed a memorandum of understanding with Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the National Bank of Fujairah PJSC (NBF), e-Transformation Initiative Partner, to develop the electronic services provided by the chamber.
The MoU was signed under guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, to provide the best electronic services at the government departments and institutions in Fujairah through "Tasdeed" pre-paid card, launched in partnership with the NBF.
Tasdeed card is a tool to facilitate e-collection of government fees saving time and effort for customers.
Customers can apply for Tasdeed at all Government of Fujairah offices. Then, the card can be activated or topped up at the NBF cash deposit machines placed within the same premises.
Commenting on the project, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, Director of Fujairah e-Government, said that Tasdeed pre-paid card is a milestone in the Government of Fujairah's e-transformation in all transactions and would ensure excellent customer service for residents of the Emirate.
This initiative is guided and supported by His Highness Ruler of Fujairah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, he added.
HE Ali Mustafa Mohammed, Director of Fujairah Finance Department said that the launch of Tasdeed pre-paid card is an important step towards the provision of integrated e-services. This move focuses on harnessing technology towards smart government, which is also an initiative advocated by the Government of Fujairah, the Finance Department Director noted.
Mr. Yousef Abdullah Al Awadi, Deputy Director of Fujairah Finance Department, said that the number of the Tasdeed clients exceeded 12,000 so far, pointing out that a unified e-payment portal is under construction by the Government of Fujairah.
