HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, met today members of the Government Financial Policy Coordination Council, at the Ruler's Office. He welcomed members of the council praising the council efforts to coordinate with financial departments across the country and discuss the financial policy offering proposals to serve and develop the policy that would help improve the UAE's economy. The Sharjah Crown Prince was briefed by the council members about the most important issues on the council agenda.
He was also briefed about the progress of financial projects and indicators as compared to the past years, and the great achievements made through constructive co-operation between all financial departments in the application of standards and financial reporting to international organizations. This secured a high rank for the financial projects and indicators as per the global financial indicators. They also discussed the financial best practices and standards that would develop the financial policy, data collection and the financial reports needed to study the financial situation, as well as developing general policies to develop revenues.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of Central Finance Department, Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of MoF and Chairman of the Government Financial Policy Coordination Council, Waleed Ibrahim Al Sayegh, Director-General of the Central Finance Department of Sharjah, Marwan Al Ali, Acting Director General of the Department of Finance in Ajman, Abdul Aziz Hareb Al Yousuf, Executive Director of General Budget Sector at the Department of Finance of Abu Dhabi, and Arif Abdul Rahman Ahli, Executive Director of Budget and Planning at the Department of Finance of Dubai.
